1 - What do you do for
a living?
I am the CEO of Terror
Trax, a formerly independent recording label and studio. I was
the owner until late in 1999 when I sold it for a king's ransom to
Cain International. Yes, I sold out to The Man! I liked
being independent, but I prefer being rich. Besides, I still get
to run the place. How good is that?
2 - How did you know Raychel?
I signed Raychel Taurus
(and Kyle McAllister) to Terror Trax. From that point on I was
deeply involved in the production of her recording.
Unfortunately, we never got the opportunity to finish it.
3 - When did you first meet Raychel?
I met her at
Safehaven, Laura Douglass' bar, on June 26, 1999. Lance tried to
describe that evening in his article
"Raychel
Taurus Rising." However, his attempt at describing the
night was (like Lance himself) weak and boring. I will do a
better job when I decide to write my version.
4 - What one word best describes Raychel for you and why?
Magic. She
had the combination of talent, beauty, and charisma that doesn't
happen often enough in nature. I know she attributed a lot of it
to a brutal upbringing but she wore it beautifully.
5 - What one thing would you have changed about Raychel and why?
That she died. How stupid are these questions, Lance?
6 - How did Raychel affect your life?
Even though I never had
a relationship with her, I loved her. That changed me more than
I can say. I can't repay that debt to her, but I can tell the
truth about her life. She would have appreciated that. She
certainly would have preferred it to Lance's self-deluded version of
the truth which the current site is dominated by. That's why I'm
here.
7 - How did you affect Raychel's life?
I gave her an
opportunity to be something. While some people wanted her to
keep writing depressing poems that didn't make a penny for her, I gave
her a chance to be a star. Kyle McAllister may have helped her
get out of her downward spiral, but I was the one who gave her the
chance to strive for something better. I gave her hope.
8 - What is your best memory of Raychel?
Being in the room when
Raychel first heard the playback on "No More Dreams No
More." I think it was the first time she really heard her
own voice. It wasn't a great voice by any means. It was
perfect for her material, though. Haunting. So much so I
think it shocked her when she heard it. The look on her face was
everything.
9 - What would you do or say if you could bring Raychel back?
I would have her
back in the studio at Terror Trax finishing her album. It was
what she was meant to do and we both would have been richer for it.
10 - Who do you feel is most responsible for Raychel's passing?
Kyle McAllister and
Sharon Wolfe. I blame them because they were both
responsible for her well being and they both failed miserably.
Raychel was murdered in Kyle's apartment (where she also lived) while
under Sharon's "protection." That Raychel died should
serve to kill Sharon's career as a professional bodyguard.
Kyle's musical career may survive, but he will never be as successful
as he would have been with Raychel.
