Memory of Raychel

This
photograph was taken late in 1997, when we were at that point in the
relationship when everything you learn about your lover is new and
wonderful. To me, she looks like an angel emerging from the
darkness. That is why I chose to put it in the header of each
page on the site. This photograph also helped me get through the
difficult months immediately after her murder. Her peaceful
expression overcomes the shadows here and helped me overcome my own
shadows. It also reminds me of the first time we met (see
"At
First Sight").
