Since taking control of the site, I found it necessary to minimize the amount of input from sources beyond the scope of the failed police investigation of Raychel's murder.  Specifically, I meant to silence Raychel's well intentioned acquaintances from posting additional Memories articles.  I did this in order to re-focus the nature of the site away from the random and unreliable memories of Raychel's friends and toward Raychel's failed homicide investigation.  I believe that my additions to the site have begun to shed some light on precisely why the investigation remained unsolved for as long as it did.

However, as the person who has silenced these voices, it falls to me to pass on items of interest regarding the current activities of Raychel's acquaintances.  Therefore, I have three "news" items which I found interesting enough to post.

For those of you (like me) who have been waiting anxiously for the beginning of the trials of Sharon Wolfe and Laura Douglass, I have some bad news.  Sharon Wolfe's attorney requested and received a delay in the start date for her murder trial.  The trial, which was scheduled to begin impaneling a jury on June 17th, has now been postponed to July 29th.  What makes this news particularly interesting is that Laura Douglass, who also filed for a postponement, was denied her request.  While I do have friends on the force, no one has answered the first question I had: Does this mean that Sharon Wolfe is planning to testify against Laura Douglass?  I guess we'll have to wait until Laura's trial begins on July 29th.

Speaking of Laura Douglass, I found out that her former bar, Safehaven, was bought recently.  By who?  Lance Wagner, that's who.  Apparently, the growing interest in Raychel's murder (via this web site) has spurred additional interest in his book.  In order to help him complete the book in a more relevant time frame, his advance has been increased.  It looks like he'll have plenty of people to test his book out on, as he told me that it is his intention to re-form The Bleeders at Safehaven.  He says that it is a tribute to Raychel to continue the group in her memory.

Finally, I received an e-mail from David Vanderhoff informing me that, much to his surprise, Ken Kincaid is the new man in charge of Terror Trax.  Moreover, Geoffrey MacIntyre's former position as Chief Creative Officer has been abolished, with the responsibilities being absorbed by Ken Kincaid.  He may have been a glorified figurehead before with the title of CEO, but now there is no question that Ken Kincaid has regained his company (albeit under the control of Cain International).

I can imagine that somewhere right now Geoffrey MacIntyre is reading these words, and I'm betting he's really not happy right now.  But if he's pissed, he should remember that things can get worse.  He could always be Laura Douglass.
