Kyle McAllister

Rage

The guitar was smashed. Such a simple thing but not what I believe was collateral damage of the struggle. I believe it was smashed before the crime it a fit of rage. Maybe the attacker came over already drunk, or on good terms since he was obviously let into that apartment. Or maybe he had a key. Hmmmm…

First of all, I thank you for having the courage to forward your theory despite the recent arrests of Laura Douglass and Sharon Wolfe for this crime. While I share Lance Wagner’s conviction that they are the guilty parties, I prefer to keep an open mind to alternative possibilities. The most important thing to understand is that a murder investigation is not about finding someone to blame, it is about finding the guilty party or parties.

That being said, I have currently found only circumstantial reasons to suspect Kyle McAllister. Yes, he had a physical (and sometimes violent) relationship with Raychel. Yes, he had open access to the apartment (his own) where the crime was committed. However, basing his guilt on the fact that a guitar was smashed does not arouse much additional suspicion. For instance, an end table was also damaged. We could extrapolate that the murderer might also have a side business in carpentry. I do not mean to belittle your response, only to pose alternative conclusions based on similar data.

Personally, I believe that the most likely scenario is that the guitar was used as a weapon in a deadly struggle. As it is a long-handled implement, it would make a powerful defensive or offensive weapon. However, I expect that the results from upcoming police reports on the debris at the scene of the crime will allow us to settle this matter. In the meantime, I cannot recommend the police stray from their current targets based on this evidence.
