Painseeker
is a murder mystery game combining the best aspects of serial and
interactive fiction. You don't merely read Painseeker . . . you
play it . . . and it plays back!
Please read the
Warning below!

In
Painseeker, players attempt to solve the murder of poet and singer Raychel Wagner.
Written by Raychel's friends, players have the opportunity to learn about Raychel from those who knew her best
-- and one (or more) who killed her. Click
here to learn more.

Once inside the game, players are free to roam through
the site for information
from any available source. You can
read items
in order or feel free to skip around by whatever subject,
item, or person that interests you most.

Players also can interact with the
suspects by
sending them questions. Answers
are sent via e-mail and in-turn are posted on the site.

For quick reference, Adobe PDF versions of
individual Painseeker articles are available by accessing the
Downloads Index.

Painseeker is a work of fiction meant solely for entertainment. However, due to several adult themes (violence,
language, drug use, and sexual situations), it is not recommended
for the faint of heart. You've been warned!
While realism is
an artistic goal of Painseeker, sometimes it achieves its goal
too effectively.
For example,

All I can say in response is that James Van Praagh must indeed
have a special gift. |
